Man Comes To Adopt Pit Bull At Shelter, But She Refused To Let Go Of Her Best Friend (05:01)

videoinspirational · 1 month ago
One day a man walked into the Rocket Dog Rescue in San Francisco to look for a dog to adopt. He quickly fell in love with a three-year-old pit bull named Merrill. When it was time to pick her up, the shelter ran into a bit of a problem. Merrill wouldn't leave her best friend behind. The volunteers at Rocket Dog Rescue dedicate their time to save unwanted and abused dogs from overcrowded shelters. Their mission is to stop dogs from getting euthanized. They regularly rescue dogs that don't have the best luck getting adopted. In 2014, the rescue took in a sick pit bull and an older Chihuahua. The two pups wouldn't leave each other's side. Merrill and her eight-year-old Chihuahua friend Taco were brought to Rocket Dog Rescue together. The volunteers knew nothing about the dog's owner, but they did know that the two dogs were best friends. They were together all the time, and if they ever got separated, they would cry. Soon enough, the shelter truly understood how deep their bond went. Hope For Paws: Benji was homeless his whole life... WATCH what happens next! Please share. (05:07)

Please donate $5 to Hope For Paws and help us save more lives: http://www.HopeForPaws.org To adopt Benji, please contact PAL rescue: http://www.PalRescue.org If you are BLOCKED from watching this video, please use this alternative link: https://vimeo.com/eldad75/videos BENJI was a homeless dog his whole life. When Hope For Paws received the call about him, I asked Lisa Chiarelli to join me. Benji was very nervous, and when he realized that we were looking at him, he started running, and we started running after him! It was a little tricky because I had to keep an eye on him while running, and at the same time I had to set up my gentle snare AND keep my hand held camera straight – you’ll just have to see how I managed all that ;-) After Lisa and I secured Benji, we got to take a close look him. Physically: he was so badly matted, covered with ticks and fleas, he bit his tongue as he was struggling to escape from us, so you’ll see a little bleeding – nothing serious. Mentally: Benji was living on the streets all his life, so human contact was so hard for him to get used to. After a 2 or 3 hours of grooming and medical care, he continued to Lisa Chiarelli’s house where for 10 days he almost didn’t move… frozen, always looking for a place to hide, and not wanting anyone to touch him. As usual, Lisa’s Pit Bull mixes - Lola and Frankie, decided to help Benji overcome his fears, and the result will make you so happy!!! After we could see the change in him, Benji continued for further rehabilitation with our friends at PAL rescue, and they will also handle his adoption. The process took 5 months of love and care – these things take time. Please SHARE Benji’s video and help us show the world that all dogs deserve a second chance. Saving Lois and Clark - two homeless Pit Bulls living in a truck yard - Please share. (09:37)

Hope For Paws - Official Rescue Channel · 2 years ago
Please donate $5 and help us give hope to more homeless dogs: http://www.HopeForPaws.org If you are blocked from watching the video, please click here: https://vimeo.com/eldad75/videos We really want to find a home for this couple together so please share this video, and if you would like to adopt them, please contact: http://www.laanimalrescue.org Special thanks to our friends from Costa Rica Dog Rescue for joining us on this rescue while visiting here in Los Angeles: http://www.crdogrescue.com Lois and Clark lived under trucks for many months, but were scared of humans and wouldn't let anyone get close to them. A day before the rescue, I visited the rescue location to see where do the dogs usually hide so I'll know what kind of equipment to bring with me. The following day I was joined by Lisa Chiarelli, Lisa Arturo, Scott Bradley, Bree Skoczek and Zainab Zakria and we immediately got to work. The dogs were hiding under the trucks, so we sealed the area from all directions (and then we realized we did such a good job but we locked ourselves out :-) We asked the owner of the property to access the yard from inside his factory, and he was very kind to let us in. It took a while, but we managed to first isolate Clark and Lisa Chiarelli got the loop around him, and a few minutes later when Lois realized that there is no way out, she stopped running and enabled Lisa Arturo to place the loop around her. We all sat together under the trucks for a while so they could relax, and then we carried them to our cars so we could continue to the hospital. Over the next few days, Lois and Clark went through such a beautiful transformation, and now we really really really need your help in finding them a home together. Please share their video so we could find them a home together. Thanks :-) Eldad
